| A statement by Bahman Nassiri - June 2006 |
| Four years ago, when I wrote my story "The Spy with the Golden Mask", Iraq had not been invaded and Iran's nuclear venture was not an issue. In this story I had predicted a bombing of Iran's nuclear reactors (later copied by people such as Scott Ritter) to take place in March 2005, an event which did not take place, forcing me to re-write my story before going into publication. I have experienced that there are Four events whose behavior are totally Random and impossible to predict accurately, no matter how hard you try : 1. Earthquakes, 2. The Weather, 3. Stock Market movements, 4. Political decisions. Today, the United States has created a Vietnam in the middle east, and everyday young soldiers are brought back in bodybags. America cannot afford to attack Iran, and this is the factor that I could not have predicted when I wrote my story. Having said all this, I still believe the attack may take place. As Mahatma Gandhi said : " Once mediation talks begin, be sure that an army is ready to attack you." Iranian speaking visitors should click on the interviews button to learn more. |
